Our Client – in the Mining sector is urgently looking for a Receiving Clerk. Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the position.
Purpose
- To receive stock/ nonstock items ordered according to the standard procedure.
Responsibilities
- Checking and matching goods received against delivery documents and purchase orders within stipulated timelines
- Inspecting goods delivered to ensure they conform to specifications, are not damaged, and are within their usable shelf life
- Accurately capturing received goods and services into the SAP ERP system within stipulated timelines
- Coding and binning received goods
- Dispatching of goods going out of the warehouse for various reasons
- Record damages/defects on relevant documentation and refer to the line Manager for action
- Print various reports and vouchers as and when required
- Filing of all receiving paperwork as per procedure
- Participate in various stores and BU activities as directed by the supervisor
Qualification & Experience
- Purchasing & Supply Degree
- 2-3 years in a Warehouse/Stores process
- SAP knowledge or equivalent ERP system
