Our client operates 5-star lodges in the southern part of Zimbabwe, with current expansion plans, looking for an Executive Chef – (Couple or single person).
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidate to fill the position.
The successful candidate will lead the team and report to the General Manager.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing, monitoring and maintaining world class food production standards
- Developing specific food marketing strategies for the lodges
- Developing a sound quality culture in the kitchen
- Development and training of the kitchen brigade
- Management of cost of sales through use of innovative cooking methods
- Developing and leading a competent team of other chefs and the creation of a work environment in which the workforce is highly motivated.
- Product and service improvement
- Developing and maintaining outstanding relations with all key suppliers.
- Local and international procurement
Skills Required:
- Strong culinary background with experience in local and international hotels.
- Hands on experience in food production and service standards.
- Good flair for financial figures, marketing and training
- Excellent coordination skills.
- High levels of personal presentation.
- Outgoing and pleasant personality with excellent relationship management skills.

Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Culinary Arts and or Higher National Diploma in Professional Cookery plus a post graduate business management qualification.
- At least 5 years’ experience at an Executive Chef level in a 4or 5 star hotel
