Our client operates in the Mining Sector has created the role for Treasury Manager.
The position shall report and work closely with the Group Finance Head and be responsible to manage the treasury function for the various mine operations at HQ.
We seek a young and dynamic astute and well qualified person from Sector with a strong treasury background from the Banking Financial Services sector preferably with added commercial sector experience from a respected company.

Purpose of Job
- To manage the company’s cash flows such that the Company is at all times cash positive as required to meet its obligations.
- To establish and monitor cash collection policies and procedures to maximize cash turn and minimize liquidity risk
- To establish and monitor policies that minimize credit risk
- Preparation of monthly treasury reports
- To prepare and monitor cash budgets and forecasts and identify potential funding shortfalls
- To assist the Group CFO with evaluation of the commercial aspects of key contracts.
- To develop and maintain policies and procedures to minimize foreign currency exposure risk
- To maintain and enhance banking relationships and minimise cost of banking
- To assist the GCFO with ad hoc finance projects and costs
- To effectively manage the company’s insurance portfolio.
- To develop and implement effective service contract.
The appropriate qualifications in Banking and/or in finance management is required.
- Minimum 5 years relevant banking/business experience
- Manufacturing and/or mining industry experience would be an advantage
- Good understanding of corporate financial principles.
- Good understanding of balance sheets and working capital management principles
- Basic principles of project management
- Technical competencies:
- Financial acumen essential
- Advanced spreadsheet knowledge, experience and application
