Our client an FMCG Holding Company seeks to appoint an Assistant Internal Auditor.
Role:
The assistant internal auditor will join the group internal audit team which will be responsible for audits within the group.
Responsibilities:
The Assistant Internal Auditor will be responsible for;
- Assist with coaching, training, and delegating work to junior staff where necessary.
- Assist with assessing the standard operating procedures in place.
- Assist with assessing the company’s risks and the efficacy of its risk management efforts.
- Assist with ensuring that the organization is complying with relevant laws and statutes.
- Assist with evaluating internal control and make recommendations on how to improve.
- Assist with Identifying shortfalls or gaps in processes.
- Promoting ethics and helping identify improper conduct
- Assist with assuring safeguards
- Assist with investigating fraud
- Communicating the findings and recommendations
Qualifications and Experience
- A first degree in accounting
- A postgraduate diploma in Accounting/Auditing
- A professional qualification is an added advantage
- 1 to 2 years’ experience in external or internal audit an advantage
