Our client seeks a person with a strong financial and inventory management background with completed qualifications ACCA/CIMA/CA – preferably from the Fuel Sector.
The role reports to the Group Finance Manager and is responsible for the following duties:
- Document/ process financial transactions by entering account information (specifically, cash books)
- Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information (It is a specific requirement that the candidate has a strong understanding of inventory and inventory-related controls, reconciliations of inventory and sales, Intercompany accounts and interest as well as foreign exchange) with the assistance of the group Financial Manager.
- Verify, substantiate, and reconcile the balance sheet and income statement under the supervision of the group Financial Manager.
- Summarizes current financial status by collecting information and preparing monthly management reports (balance sheet and income statement and other relevant information)
- Maintains accounting controls.
- Guides accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions.
- Prepares payments by verifying documentation.
- Responsible for liaising with customers (credit applications) and credit guarantee (credit approval and limits) and debtors insurance company (monthly information re debtors).
- Assist in managing debtors/debtors payments.
- Proficient (as in EXCELLENT) in Excel and Pastel (EVOLUTION & SAGE)
