Our client, the well-established company that provides electronic funds technology solutions – currently is looking for a talented person of integrity to take up the challenging and interesting position of Sales Manager.
Purpose
To create, develop and maintain customer accounts, and new business opportunities, sell and promote the Company’s products and services, and manage customer accounts in the defined geographical territory, so as to achieve the Company’s set customer, financial, internal, and growth objectives.
- Maintains contact with the Company’s customers (directly or indirectly), ensuring that the products and services provided by the Company are of an acceptable standard and meet their business needs.
- Takes 100% ownership of customer accounts in the defined territory.
- Formulates sales plans to achieve sales objectives
- Prepares sales proposals, tender responses, product presentations, and demonstrations, and engages in sales negotiations with customers and prospects as necessary.
- Prepares and submits sales budget inputs to the Supervisor, as per the Company’s budgeting cycle, ensuring that the plans fall in line with overall company objectives and strategies.
- Takes total responsibility for the achievement of the sales revenue for the defined territory as per budget.
- Ensures all proposals are submitted to customers and prospects only after they have been technically and financially vetted, as per the Company’s Procedures.
- Takes direct responsibility for the maintenance of sales forecasts, that show the current status of customers and prospects.
- Undertakes marketing activities as and when required to market the Company’s brand, products, and services
- Provides input into re-order and stock levels to ensure constant product availability
- Identifies and recommends for approval suitable channel partners for the distribution of the Company’s products and services
Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Business Studies, Computer Science
- A post-graduate degree in business administration/management will be an added advantage.
- At least 5 years of payment solutions experience, either in a financial institution or payment solutions service provider organization – a must!
- Proven ability to prepare sales proposals, close sales deals, and maintain harmonious relationships with customers and the ability to interact at all levels within the customer organization.
- Knowledge of financial institution information technology systems would be a distinct advantage.
