Lead the management and team of the Engineering Department to ensure professional care of assets (availability and reliability at design capacity) of Plant and Equipment at all times in a sustainable cost-effective way through a competent, motivated workforce.
Ensure compliance to relevant Legal requirements and ensure Safe operation of Plant and Equipment.
Designing, developing and implementing of Maintenance Management Systems across the Plant. (Fixed, Mobile Processing Plants and Heavy Mobile Equipment) Conducting technical problem solving to identify root cause(s) of critical equipment failure and recommended corrective actions which prevented subsequent failures. Providing senior technical support to the operations and maintenance teams to maximize plant and production throughput. Planning, directing and coordinating Occupational, Healthy, Safety and Environmental systems. Working closely with the production management team to ensure output targets are met.
This role would suit applicants from the Mining – Heavy industrial – Quarry or similar sectors.
