Salary conditions 50% in USD and 50% in ZWL

The CFO reports to the Managing Director and shall be responsible for ensuring that the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the strategic and operational plans and programs for the finance function with the company. The CFO leads the company from a financial perspective.

Essential job responsibilities include:

  • Involvement and execution of high-level decisions about policy and strategy.
  • Planning, organizing, and controlling the activities and actions of the company’s fiscal activity, including budgeting, reporting, and auditing.
  • Develop financial and tax strategies

These responsibilities involve achieving the following tasks:

  • Ensure legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Manage the accounting, human resources, investor relations, legal, tax, and treasury departments including setting up and maintaining a sound internal control environment
  • Identify and address financial risks and opportunities for the company.
  • Supervise financial reporting and budgeting team.
  • Review financial reports for ways to reduce costs and maximise returns.
  • Develop performance measures and monitoring systems that support the company’s strategic direction
  • Maintain in-depth relations with all members of the management team

Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Recognised professional qualification – CA desired
  • Proven progressive experience in a senior management position in a corporate environment, preferably an industrial setting.
  • Strong financial and accounting background, including an understanding of profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow management and general finance and budgeting.
  • Sound knowledge of exchange control regulations and ZIMRA taxation regulations across all tax heads.
  • Ability to understand new issues quickly and make wise decisions.
  • Ability to inspire confidence and create trust.
  • Ability to work under pressure, plan personal workload effectively and delegate.
  • Ideally a person over 35 years of age – both genders are invited to apply.
